Does God Exist? Should I Care?

He finally told me his secret:  he doesn't believe in God.

Every time we met, I casually brought up the soon return of Jesus Christ.  For the last year or so, he quietly changed the subject each time, or made some superficial comment.  Finally, my friend was frustrated enough to blurt out that he doesn't believe in God.

He said that I had ruined his day when I again mentioned what he had worked hard to ignore.

I had previously run into an elderly atheist couple, and had a nice conversation with them about End Times.  They said they had a nice conversations with me, but weren't interested in Jesus Christ.  Not all atheists get upset, but some do.

Is there hope for my friend, and others like him?

After this phone call, I studied what I should have said when my friend blurted out his secret.

Dr. Craig is a Born Again Christian, philosopher, and Apologist.  He says there are 6 reasons that prove the existance of God, and that God is the best explanation for all of the following:

1. Existence of everything in the Universe.
    
2. Creation of the Universe.
    
3. Fine tuning of all values for the constants and limiting conditions for the various engineering, physics, atomic, chemistry, engineering, and material science values that define our Universe.
    
4. Absolute, world-wide morals, values, and duties that exist, and continue to be needed.
    
5.  The historical facts of Jesus Christ and His Apostles; and the miracles performed by them.
    
6.  Personally knowing and experiencing God in your life.

Christopher Hitchen, a world famous atheist, denies that God exists, but simultaneously hates what God stands for, and what God has done, and makes many unsupported, rash, and wild allegations against God.

Christopher called himself an anti-theist.  This goes beyond the mere disbelief of God held by the atheist, and approaches the hate and continuous opposition against God.

This is equivalent to saying  "God doesn't exist, and I hate Him."

Satan would be another example of an anti-theist, however Satan well knows that God exists,and chooses to oppose God nevertheless.


If someone denies the existance of gravity, it doesn't mean they start floating off into space.  Denial of something doesn't make it become true.

In the same way, denial of God's existance makes neither God nor His 26 Commandments for Christians to disappear.  Even if you deny God exists, you will eventually have to stand before God and account for your sins.  This denial is a guaranteed method to spend all eternity in Hell, being roasted and tormented.

During this 2009 debate between this Christian and atheist, no proofs were offered to back up the atheist's premises against God; just rhetoric and anecdotes.

The Christian offered the 6 proofs described above, detailed them with a number of scientific facts, and therefore won the debate.

This debate is highly recommended for atheists, agnostics, and luke-warm Christians.

Agnostics are in permanent analysis paralysis, a deer caught in the headlights, the jury is forever & permanently out trying to decide the case.  Meanwhile they continue to live their dream life with no thought of the cost or consequences of their chronic sin (ie. iniquity).

However the worst of all is the apathetic, someone who couldn't care less about God or His Commandments.  The apathetic ignores God, turns his back and walks away while God is speaking to him.

To me, it is the apathetic who raises God's wrath the most.   Do you agree?

There is still time to take action.  Very soon, it will be too late and you will be stuck with your failure to act on God's free offer to escape Hell and have eternal life.  All you have to do is truly and fully believe in Jesus Christ, confess & repent your sins, ask for forgiveness,  turn away from sin & towards God, and follow God's 26 Commandments for Christians, and avoid living in chronic sin.
