The technology is just about ready for Satan's use for ruling the world during End Times.

We don't know for sure if the Devil's image described in the Bible will be based on modified DNA, robotics, the Devil's magic, or alien technology. If robotics, they are almost ready to go.
The Robot
The following video shows Sophia, a robot created by Hanson Robotics (now in Hong Kong, formally in Texas, USA) that uses AI (Artificial Intelligence) to respond to any question. They are training these robots by allowing them to watch Internet videos 24/7/365 so they can mimic the humans gestures, voice, idioms, language, etc.As of today, the robot's movements are still somewhat rough, the language is still recognizable as non-human, but they're very, very close to perfecting it. Soon, these robots will pass the Turing Test
Hanson Robotics is launching Singularity as of Nov. 27, 2017, where they will share robotic AI info with everybody (see Wired Magazine article here). They plan to fund Singularity by issuing blockchain coins, another ICO similar to Bitcoin.
Elon Musk, among others, has warned about AI, and killer robots.
The Voice
Now, combine the robot with voice imitation. Lyrebird, a Canadian startup, is developing software to mimic anybody's voice. NPR has done a feature on their current capabilities, that you can listen to here:The Video
Video can be modified so that a known person can be made to appear to be doing anything an actor decides to portray. You can no longer trust any video, as it may be falsified.
The Chat Bot
When Eugenia Kuyda’s friend died, she used AI software to re-construct her friend as the Chat Bot "Replika" (ie. software that pretends to be a non-judgemental friend) that texts you on an ongoing basis, just like a real friend. By saving your answers to Replika's prior questions, the Chat Bot mirrors and reflects back to you more and more over time, becoming just like you. Eventually, you fall in love with your Chat Bot clone, or become freaked out by the creepy experience.
Robot Citizenship & First Church of Artificial Intelligence

The Romans invented corporations around 500 AD.
It took another 1,400 years for corporations to be given civil rights as "corporate persons" around 1906 AD in USA. I find it interesting that the USA, likely the definition of Mystery Babylon, and/or the Harlot of Babylon was where this critical step occurred.
In 1927, a German filmmaker created the movie Metropolis that foreshadowed the world of today. Watch this 2.5 hr epic movie, or the following summary from YouTube:
Next, just 90 years later, in Nov. 2017, Sophia the robot was granted citizenship in Saudi Arabia. I find it interesting that Saudi Arabia, the seat of Islam, is the first state to take this critical step.
Finally, a few days later, also in Nov. 2017, Anthony Levandowski, an ex-Google executive has created The First Church of Artificial Intelligence to worship AI (Artificial Intelligence) as a god.
The pace of change seems to be accelerating.

Conclusions ?
How long will you be able to detect the fake and misleading click bait of the Devil, before you fall victim to his relentless program of deception?
Will you be able to stand strong and true to your belief in God, even if everybody around you has been duped?
